Joyful Garden-Style Wedding at Brookside Gardens Event Center

A Stunning Berthoud Wedding Venue

When Jenna and Cory reached out to me to photograph their fall wedding in Berthoud at Brookside Weddings + Events (commonly called Brookside Gardens Event Center), I was instantly excited! We met through our local church well before discussions of wedding photography, so I knew firsthand that they are the sweetest couple. Jenna had such a vision for what she wanted for their big day, and I was thrilled to get the opportunity to capture it! It was a memorable, joy-filled day from beginning to end.

Let me start by saying there’s a long list of reasons that I love this Berthoud wedding venue.  It’s lush, vibrant greenery is one of the huge draws of the property since it creates effortlessly beautiful, fresh backdrops for photos. The property boasts both an outdoor ceremony space as well as an indoor fireplace option that can be used as a backup plan in case of inclement weather. One of my favorite features of Brookside Gardens Event Center is that everything you need is in one place.  There’s no need to be golf carted all over the property, which is a huge perk when you just want to slow down and enjoy your wedding day. It’s a genuinely beautiful location with unlimited potential for virtually every style & color palette! All of these reasons and more is why it’s on my list of favorite northern Colorado wedding venues!

Outdoor Fall Wedding in Colorado

Speaking of color palettes, Jenna and Cory opted for rich, deep cabernet hues for their big day and it was beautifully executed. From the bridesmaid’s dresses to the autumnal colors in Jenna’s bouquet, their outdoor Colorado wedding boasted beauty and radiance from start to finish. Not only were the colors glowing, but the couple was beaming with joy all day long. One of my favorite moments from the day was when Jenna put on her wedding dress and broke out into giddy, adorable dance moves with her mom and sisters. It was such an honor to witness the love everyone there had for the couple and the pure bliss they were feeling.

Golden Hour Berthoud Ceremony

After a morning of laughs and a few tears shed by loving and proud parents, Jenna and Cory’s wedding party walked under a pergola draped in lush greenery and florals in various shades of purple and pink.  A few moments later, a beaming Jenna was escorted by her father down the aisle where she joined a teary-eyed Cory. Their garden-style wedding was elegant and timeless, but the ceremony itself was truly a sight to behold.  From the beginning stages of wedding planning, Jenna and Cory were clear that they wanted Jesus to be front and center on their big day. Above all else, they wanted their guests to leave remembering the joy in all that their wedding represented. This led them to have powerful worship, prayer, and communion right at golden hour before exchanging beautifully written vows before their family and friends. The joy they shared didn’t end there!

Fun-Filled Wedding Reception

During my time as a Colorado wedding photographer, I have seen few other couples truly soak up the day like Cory and Jenna. After their first look, they opted for some alone time before the hustle and bustle of the day. They were the epitome of what it means to be present on your wedding day and not rush through the moments. It can be difficult to do when every moment is accounted for, but it’s my biggest recommendation to all of my couples! Their reception was no exception!  While I didn’t stay for the entirety of the reception, the parts I photographed were a blast. Cory and Jenna genuinely enjoyed their time together and with their guests, and extended the dance party a few times! It was a such a representation of how excited everyone was for their marriage and know it will be as joyful as their wedding day.
