For Courtney and Bear’s wedding, we started their day with a first look at nearby Echo Lake, where they shared private vows (photographed discretely from across the water), giving them a truly intimate moment before joining their loved ones for the ceremony.

They had a super intentional day and chose to do a first look with their whole family and wedding party upon returning to the venue!

This wasn’t just another Colorado mountain wedding – Courtney and Bear infused their celebration with personal touches that perfectly reflected their vibrant personalities:

Sentimental Gift Exchange: The couple surprised each other with incredibly meaningful gifts, including a custom vinyl record that brought tears to everyone’s eyes, a custom cake topper of them in their wedding attire on skis, a video compilation of their Ring camera footage from the last year of their lives, and a painting of Echo Lake that doubled as their seating chart.

Unique Guest Book: Instead of a traditional book, guests signed a pair of skis – the perfect tribute to their ski resort wedding venue. They even thrifted the skis from their hometown as a way to incorporate Minnesota into their day!

Epic T-Shirt Toss: They hyped up the dance floor with a t-shirt toss using shirts they had custom-made just for their wedding–talk about a memorable dance party!
