Greystone Castle is the kind of place that instantly makes you feel like you’re stepping into a fairytale. Nestled in the hills of Boulder, Colorado, it’s private, elegant, and overflowing with charm—from the historic stone exterior to the swoon-worthy interiors that feel straight out of an editorial.
I had the chance to photograph a styled wedding here recently, and I left completely smitten. The delicate blue wallpaper, the black-and-white tiled floors, the vintage lace veil, and a bouquet purse (!!)—every detail felt thoughtful, timeless, and full of creativity. It’s one of those venues that makes you want to plan ten different weddings just to try every possibility.
In this blog, I’ll share everything you need to know to plan your own Greystone Castle wedding and showcase some more photos from this beautiful styled wedding. As always, this post is meant to serve as a guide, so be sure to check with the venue for the most accurate and up-to-date information when inquiring!

About Greystone Castle
Greystone Castle is nestled behind the Boulder Flatirons all the way up Flagstaff Road. The drive is scenic on its own, and when you arrive, you’re instantly met with the stunning castle, so I will say – the drive is definitely worth it! Plus, the venue is relatively close to popular scenic destinations like Lost Gulch and Chautauqua Park, so we have plenty of opportunities (on and off the property) to sneak away for some private moments and beautiful mountain photos!

Why Choose Greystone Castle for Your Wedding
With its storybook architecture, sweeping mountain views, and modern-yet-classic interiors, the Castle is a blank canvas that already feels deeply romantic. You won’t find a traditional ballroom here, and that’s part of the charm. Receptions are held in a gorgeous outdoor tent, allowing for a totally custom design and an open-air vibe.

Planning Your Greystone Castle Wedding: Ceremony & Reception Options
Ceremony Space
Ceremonies normally take place outdoors in the backyard with views of the Castle or the beautiful aspen and pine groves. However, you may be able to hold a small, intimate ceremony indoors on the checkered tiled floors by the staircase like we did!

Reception Space
Greystone Castle doesn’t have an indoor reception space, but that’s actually part of the charm. Receptions are held under a beautiful outdoor tent, giving couples a blank canvas to bring their dream design to life—whether that’s romantic and whimsical, modern and minimal, or something totally unique to them.
Since the tent is enclosed, you don’t have to stress about weather—rain is no problem, and if temperatures drop, heaters can be brought in to keep things cozy. The venue team is great at setting everything up for whatever the forecast brings, so you can feel confident no matter the season.

Greystone Castle Wedding Inspiration
Photographing Alea and Markeith at Greystone Castle was such a dream! Alea’s look was the perfect mix of vintage charm and modern fun—her lace-trimmed veil was stunning, and that bouquet purse was everything. Inside, the black-and-white tile floors and soft blue wallpaper made every photo feel like a scene from a Victorian-era film—with a modern twist.
Every detail was so thoughtfully styled—from the clear chairs to the curved reception table and the creative use of fruits and vegetables woven into the floral design. The whole setup really showed off how much flexibility this venue gives you to get creative with texture, color, and layout. Greystone Castle truly sets the stage for a one-of-a-kind celebration.

Greystone Castle Wedding Cost
Because this is a private venue, pricing varies depending on the season, event size, and customization. It’s always best to inquire directly through their website to get a personal quote for your wedding. However, on average, the packages start at $11,000.
