A Real Wedding at Perry Park Country Club: I have to tell you about Taryn and Scott’s wedding because it was honestly the most joyful celebration I’ve ever photographed at Perry Park! From the moment I arrived, the energy was just contagious – Taryn was radiating pure joy all day and Scott’s smile never left his face. Their colorful garden-party theme was absolutely perfect for Perry Park’s natural beauty. The bridesmaids wore the most gorgeous mismatched dresses in soft pastels, with colorful shoes perfectly coordinated with their dresses. But what really made this wedding special was how much fun every single person had – you could feel it in every moment. As Taryn said in her email afterward, “OH MY GOSH THESE ARE SOOOOOO AMAZING WE ARE IN LOVE!!! I can’t believe you captured so many memories so perfectly it was truly the most perfect, best day ever!!!! We keep reflecting and everything went so smoothly and we had the most fun ever!!!” And honestly, experiencing that level of happiness through my lens was incredible. Unique Ideas from a Real Perry Park Wedding
The Driving Range Cocktail Hour
One of my absolute favorite unique touches was when Taryn and Scott opened up the driving range during cocktail hour! They and their guests had a blast hitting golf balls with their favorite drinks in hand. The laughter and energy from this activity created incredible and truly candid moments – guests cheering, high-fiving, learning to golf, and just genuinely having the best time. It was the perfect way to create real moments and made amazing use of Perry Park’s golf course amenities.
Parasol Bridal Party Photos
Taryn’s bridal party carried around classic white parasols that looked absolutely stunning with their colorful bridesmaids dresses. We used them for both formal portraits and fun, movement shots by the water. The parasols added such a whimsical, garden-party feel that perfectly matched their colorful celebration.
Golf Course Photography Access
Exclusive Access: After your ceremony, you and your photographer can get escorted onto the championship golf course via golf cart for private portraits. This is one of Perry Park’s most unique features – access to professionally maintained fairways with those iconic red rock formations as your backdrop.
For Taryn and Scott’s wedding day, they wanted to do their first look on the golf course. So we took the golf carts out to the red rock formations for their first look and some portraits, then stayed by the water for their sunset portraits later on.
Golf Course Photo Locations:
- Sentinel Rock: Perry Park’s most famous and photogenic red rock formation
- Lake Wauconda: Gorgeous water shots with golden hour reflections
- Lush Fairways: Perfectly manicured greens complimented by natural Colorado scenery
- Multiple Red Rock Formations: Dramatic geological formations throughout the course
- Rampart Range Views: Expansive mountain vistas in every direction
Photography Guidelines:
- Only the couple and photographer allowed on course during events
- Golf course access coordinated by Perry Park staff
- Photos typically taken during cocktail hour but can be arranged at another time
