Chautauqua Park, with its iconic Flatirons backdrop, is one of Boulder’s most beloved outdoor destinations and best engagement session locations. This historic park features meandering trails, lush greenery, and breathtaking views, making it an idyllic spot for engagement photos. Parking can be limited, especially on weekends and during the peak seasons of summer and fall, so plan to arrive early or consider alternative transportation like bike or Uber.
The best time to visit is during the summer when the vibrant wildflowers are at peak bloom and the fall when the foliage is at its most vibrant and the grass has a golden glow. You can reach the best views with just a short walk from the parking lot, but for more adventurous souls there are a myriad of hiking trailheads to explore. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times.
